Despite playing well for the Australian National Team A.J. "Thunder from Down Under" Ogilvy failed to make the penultimate cut as the Boomer coaches continue to whittle their roster down to the 12 man Olympic squad. A.J. gained valuable experience playing in 4 games and starting one early this summer against Iran and bitter rival (I assume) New Zealand.
In other news, after some skepticism Shan Foster seems to have warmed the cold, icy hearts of Dallas Mavericks fans with an impressive shooting display in his first workout at Dallas' American Airlines Center. Check it out here at one of my new favorite blogs. To even further fuel the flames of Shan's recently ignited NBA career the stupidest person on radio, Jim Rome, had Da Truth on his show yesterday. I didn't get a chance to hear it, but as soon as I can find a link I will post it shortly...and the flames grow higher.
While it's still early, it's looking more and more like Shan has a legitimate shot at making the roster for the upcoming NBA season. Yay!
